Cyber Sector

The Cyber Sector is the oldest sector in the Iowa InfraGard infrastructure.  Like most InfraGard chapters throughout the nation, the Iowa InfraGard Chapter in Des Moines started out with an emphasis on Cyber Security.  This has helped benefit the private and public sectors well for critical information sharing and joint training.

The purpose of the Cyber Sector is to provide Subject Matter Experts in all aspects of Information Technology for the cooperative agendas between the public and private vetted membership of the Iowa InfraGard membership infrastructure.  Many of our Cyber Sector members have provided lectures and demonstrations on various information technology topics and security related issues to private and public meetings.

The Cyber Sector has worked closely with members of the law enforcement community, and emergency management community in the State of Iowa.  This cooperation has benefited members of InfraGard in continued training and has developed close ties and contacts with otherwise exclusive members of these communities.
